Wrongtools – Cursed Clavinets (KONTAKT)
Distorted experimental leads and melodic sounds. Energetic short and long, string bends, pitches and strums, from a disassembled Hohner Clavinet D6+E7. The epitome of mischief and malevolence, where the sound of the Hohner Clavinet D6+E7 finds its rawest expression.
Clavinet sounds result from unintentional mishandling of the amplifier resulting in shrill feedback, or deliberate removal of a Chinese germanium fuzz pedal, or sudden tension on the clavinet string. We aimed for timbral collisions, frictions and evolving sound transformations.
